Health · Invisible Illness

Making the invisible visible.

Chrysalis Health Spaces is a patient-governed AI health hub for invisible illness. Patients hold their whole story in one place (symptoms, timelines, treatments, function, costs, labs, and wearable data) and choose exactly what to share with the doctors and researchers they trust.

The problem

When your illness is invisible, so is your history.

For people living with Lyme and tick-borne disease, Long COVID, autoimmune conditions, ME/CFS, MCAS, dysautonomia, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain, the story rarely fits one lab result or one appointment. Short visits, intake forms, EHR fields, claims, labs, and public datasets each capture a piece, and miss the long, subjective reality a patient carries for years.

The gap isn't only missing records. It's the missing measures: diagnostic delay, how often someone was dismissed, symptoms that shift day to day, function lost, treatments that helped or harmed, and what care actually cost. They rarely exist in a structured form anywhere. And capturing them takes a tool an exhausted, fogged patient can actually use, or the data stays missing.

How Health Spaces works

Built for the patient first.

If a tool adds burden, the story never gets captured. So Chrysalis Health Spaces is designed for people living with fatigue, brain fog, and memory gaps. Useful to the patient first, and to medicine and research because of it.

A living story, not a static form

Guided, low-cognitive-load prompts build a Health Space over time, from notes, files, labs, trackers, wearables, and health-app data. You keep adding as things change, so you never start from a blank intake form again.

The patient stays at the center

Through Connections, the patient decides who their Space talks to, and controls exactly what's shared, approving everything before it leaves.

Make the missing measures visible

Chrysalis structures lived experience into the dimensions standard records leave out, so the fuller picture finally becomes legible to the people trying to help.

Private by design

Encrypted, consent-receipted, and never used to train models. Chrysalis doesn't diagnose, triage, or recommend treatment. It helps patients tell their story and share it on their terms.

Why us

The architecture that protects an expert's IP, turned toward a person's most sensitive story.

Chrysalis Health Spaces is built on more than 25 years of lived chronic illness and over a decade supporting Lyme and invisible-illness patients between doctor visits. We've spent years learning what depleted, dismissed patients can actually use, and built the product around that reality.

For clinicians & researchers

Request the data systems miss, with consent built in.

A trusted doctor or researcher can request the context they need, and the patient stays in control of every answer, reviewing and approving before anything is shared.

  • Consent-first requestsAsk for the context that matters, without another blank intake form.
  • The patient approves everythingEdit, redact, anonymize, or decline before anything leaves their Space.
  • Research patients opt intoDe-identified responses and cohorts built from people who said yes.
“Patients shouldn't have to keep defending complex health challenges alone, and clinicians shouldn't have to understand years of illness through a short intake form.”

That belief is why Chrysalis Health Spaces exists: make the story easy to tell, and easy to share, on the patient's terms.

The federal sprint

Selected for the HHS Tech Sprint on AI & Invisible Illness.

Chrysalis was one of 171 submissions to a federal sprint on how AI can help people with invisible illness without compromising privacy or control. We won Phase 1 and advanced as one of just 45 teams into Phase 2, 15 per category. Our focus is helping patients surface what standard records miss, with consent built in.
