Chrysalis on desktop: a week of check-ins, current focus showing what's helping, and today's plan grouped by the doctor who gave it
Phase 1 winner of the HHS TOPx Tech Sprint on AI & Invisible Illness

There's no single answer for chronic illness. Chrysalis helps you find yours.

A patient advocacy and care management app for people with chronic and invisible illness. Keep track of what you try, see what's working, and bring your care team in on it.

Built for you if you're…

Searching for a diagnosis

Normal labs, real symptoms.

Managing several conditions

Overlaps no one specialist owns.

Following several plans

You're the one connecting them.

Caring for someone

A parent, partner or child.

How a case moves forward.

Complex care should be simple to manage. Every step here comes from something a patient told us.

Step 1 of 6 · Understand

Your whole story, in one place.

Your turning points on one timeline, across every condition and every specialist, so no one has to see you one organ at a time.

“It's all one system and one body, and no one is talking to each other.”
A patient we interviewed
Step 2 of 6 · Plan

Remember why you're doing it.

Add each plan with the reason it was given. Today groups your meds, supplements and practices by the plan they came from, so one week off doesn't send you back to square one. And Focus helps you manage the overwhelm.

“I'll get so used to doing something I'll forget why I'm doing it.”
A patient we interviewed
Step 3 of 6 · Live it

Say what happened, in your own words.

Talk or type the way you'd tell a friend. No checkboxes that don't fit your symptoms. Share your ideas for why your symptoms may be changing, not just what happened.

Step 4 of 6 · Observe

See what moves together.

Your check-ins become a visual and written history you can look back on, with changing factors like weather and your cycle logged alongside each entry. The pattern doesn't have to live in your head.

“Obviously I already know the information, but it's too much.”
A patient we interviewed, on brain-fog days
Step 5 of 6 · Learn

Keep what works.

Rate what you try as you go. Over time you build your own playbook: what helps, what doesn't, and what's still too early to tell.

“No one knows the one cure for everyone. There is no one cure. But there is a set of things that works best for each one of us.”
Brent Martin, co-founder
Step 6 of 6 · Share

Hand over a cheat sheet.

Before an appointment, Chrysalis turns it all into a page your provider can read in a few minutes. Share with doctors, therapists or family, each seeing only what you choose.

“Almost like a cheat sheet to treating me, for a doctor.”
A patient we interviewed

It was never all in your head.

Specialists aren't in every town, appointments are short, and it's hard to get the whole picture to your care team. So most people with chronic illness end up as their own case manager. Chrysalis gives every patient the support to do that well, wherever they live.

Lyme patients in a 2020 study weren't treated until more than a month after their symptoms began. When treatment came that late, they were about twice as likely to have symptoms that didn't go away.

Hirsch et al., Frontiers in Medicine, 2020

Hand off all the details you forgot.

Between visits you leave dozens of quick voice notes: how you’re feeling, what you think set off a flare, and how the plan is really going. Before your appointment, Chrysalis pulls them into a handoff your provider can read in a few minutes.

Your notes between visits become one clear summary, not a pile of memos.

Your questions, the next steps you want, and even how to talk with you.

"Patients desperately want to be heard, but they are tired of retelling their story, skeptical of systems that have failed them, and often too depleted to use tools that add more work."

Before you join

Can I use Chrysalis today?

Not yet. We're inviting people into a free beta in small groups. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your invitation is ready. The public launch is planned for early 2027.

What will it cost?

The beta is free. After launch, people will join in paid cohorts. We'll share pricing before the first cohort opens, and you'll never be charged without signing up.

Does it replace my doctor or patient portal?

No. It keeps track of what your portal doesn't, like how your symptoms change and what you've tried, and helps you share it with the people treating you. It doesn't diagnose or recommend treatment.

Who can see my information?

Only the people you choose, and only the parts you choose. You can take access back at any time.

I'm a practitioner. Can my patients use it?

Yes. See how Chrysalis works for practitioners, or join The Visible 100 to try the beta first.
